Thomas Walling Primary Academy, part of the Laidlaw Schools Trust, has successfully maintained its Good Ofsted grade following a recent inspection in January.

The report highlights the school’s caring ethos and commitment to ensuring every child thrives:

“Pupils thrive here. They benefit greatly from the school’s caring ethos. Decisions are made with pupils’ best interests at heart. The school sets high expectations for its pupils. Pupils’ outcomes compare favourably to national averages. The school does all it can to minimise any barriers or challenges that pupils may face.”

Inspectors also praised the school’s approach to behaviour and personal development:

“The ‘Thomas Walling Way’ provides a secure framework against which expected behaviours are set. This is explicitly taught and modelled by all staff.”

Rebecca Hann, Head Teacher, expressed her pride in the school’s achievements:

“I am extremely privileged to lead such a passionate and experienced staff team who always ensure the children in our care have access to the highest quality of education and life experiences.”

With the continued support of Laidlaw Schools Trust and the generosity of our sponsor, Lord Laidlaw, Thomas Walling Primary Academy remains committed to delivering excellence for our pupils and their families.
