The curriculum at Thomas Walling Primary Academy includes all the planned activities we provide in order to promote learning, personal growth and development.

Our curriculum includes not only the formal requirements of the National Curriculum, but also the range of extra-curricular activities which are offered in order to enrich the experience of our children. In addition, it includes the ‘hidden curriculum’ – or what the children learn from the way they are treated and expected to behave.

At Thomas Walling Primary Academy, Governors, teachers, pupils and parents have worked hard to develop a bespoke curriculum. With the National Curriculum at the core, we offer broad and balanced provision that helps our pupils become independent learners and encourages them to be creative, healthy and positive.

We also recognise that a school is at the heart of the community and should respond to its needs and draw upon its unique strengths and opportunities.
