OPAL Loose Parts Appeal – Help Us Build Incredible Play Zones! 🌟
If you have any loose parts that you can donate to our OPAL Play project, please bring them to the office.
We’re growing our OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) programme and need your help! We’re collecting loose parts—open-ended, reusable items—to spark creativity and adventure in our playground.
We're looking for:
🧸 Role Play: Dolls, prams, toy cars, old tech, shop/doctor/building props
🚲 Wheels: Bikes, scooters, skateboards, traffic signs
🎨 Creative: chalk, sand, water play items, wall paper, colouring pens.
🏗️ Construction: Crates, planks, pipes, tarps, tyres
🎯 Games: Skipping ropes, hula hoops, large outdoor games such as jenga or connect 4

✨📚 Year 2 and Year 3 enjoyed a very special treat today as they joined a live event with bestselling author Julia Donaldson, who introduced her brand-new story, Gruffalo Granny! 🐾✨
The children also had the exciting opportunity to take part in a draw-along session with illustrator Axel Scheffler, learning how to draw the Gruffalo Granny herself.
