School Council
Each year, children at Thomas Walling exercise democracy and nominate one person from each class to represent their views on the School Council.
Here’s what two members of our School Council have to say about their roles:
“Our elected school councillors play an important role in school. It’s like a democracy - we listen to the students and we bring ideas on how to make the school better. We are also representatives of the school and help in lots of different ways.”Shelby, Year 6
“We also have Friendship Ambassadors in every year group who encourage pupils to be kind to one another. We look out for anyone who looks sad or lonely and try to help. We give out stickers to people we see being extra kind and friendly towards others.” Finley, Year 5
